3 reasons to buy JakoPure lamb in bulk
If you love JakoPure lamb and you have a bit of freezer space, whole lamb is for you!  Consider this:

    1.     You’ll save a bunch of money.  When you buy a whole lamb, you’ll get all the cuts of meat (roasts, ribs, chops, leg, etc.) for roughly the price of ground lamb in the farm store.  If you frequently purchase cuts of JakoPure lamb, this is definitely the way to go.
    2.    Customize the cuts any way you like.  We’ll hook you up directly with the butcher, who will walk you through all the choices for cuts of meat.  Do you want all the bones to make bone broth?  They can do that.  Want your chops cut thicker or the roasts smaller?  They can do that.  You’re the boss.
    3.     Explore different cuts than you usually purchase.  You may like ground lamb but have you ever tried lamb riblets?  They’re amazing.  Leg of lamb?  Mouthwatering.  Have a bit of adventure and learn to cook something new.
Lambs will average 35-45 lbs of meat, and will go to the butcher in early December.  Click the button below and let us know how many you’d like to order!
If this is new for you, we’d be happy to answer any questions.  Just reply to this email, click the button below, or call Robyn at 620-663-1470.
    Can you find the pigs?
A 500-lb pregnant sow went missing at Jako Farm last week… can you find her in the picture below?
Here’s a hint– she made a nest for her new piglets, completely enclosed from the elements.  You can only see one black ear in the photo above.  We’ve never seen anything like it!
Bring us your tired, your poor, your huddled masses of leaves
Did you know that all those leaves in your yard can help nourish our soil?  That’s right!  Bring your yard waste like dead plants, lawn clippings, or fallen leaves to Jako Farm and add them to the compost pile.  Powerful and mighty microorganisms will break down the dead matter into nutrient-rich compost for our soil!

Small quantities (like kitchen waste) can be deposited in the compost buckets in the farm store; larger quantities can be taken directly to our compost drop station 1/2 mile west of Jako Farm.
