    Free online workshop:

    “What is regenerative agriculture?”
We’re so excited to partner with the nonprofit “Farmer’s Footprint” to highlight the importance of soil health.  At our upcoming farm party October 12th, we’ll be screening their latest documentary, followed by an expert panel discussion.  (See below!)

Farmer’s Footprint also offers a free online workshop all about regenerative agriculture, what consumers should know, and what you can do to advocate for change.  This workshop is geared for all knowledge levels and begins soon.  Check it out!
    Story time is this Thursday!
The next story time is September 19 at 10:00am.  SO MUCH MORE than just story time, you could almost call it farm school!  Our awesome leader and Jako friend, Alia, creates such rich and diverse learning experiences every month at Jako Farm.  It’s perfect for ages 4-9, but younger and older siblings will love it too.  Through stories, activites, song, and play, Alia keeps the kids moving and learning– all about farm-related topics that are just as appropriate for adults.  If you’ve ever wondered “how does grass turn into raw milk?”  or “how do worms turn food scraps into soil?,” grab a child near you and join us!
A farm event you won’t want to miss:
    Now in the farm store–

let our tablet check you out!
We’ve got a new check-out system in the farm store, and it’s bound to make your life easier!  Instead of filling out a paper ticket, try using the tablet.  Just click on the items you want to purchase, add quantities or weights, and let the tablet do all the math.  No more figuring sales tax by hand…  (Whew!)

The tablet also accepts credit card, although cash and check are still welcome.
We’re excited to know what you think!  Give it a try and send us your feedback.
