    Soup season is here!

There’s something gloriously comforting about entering the season of soup.  And, if you use bone broth as a soup base, there’s something truly medicinal about it, too.  Bone broth adds a myriad of trace minerals and collagen-rich protein, and it tastes amazing too!  JakoPure bone broth is available in three varieties– beef, lamb, and chicken.  Stock up on your favorites and keep your family healthy this season!

    Gouda joins the cheese family

A good complement to delicious soup is excellent cheese!  Our raw Gouda is back, and it’s one of our favorites.  Like all of our cheeses, Gouda is made in small, artesanal batches from our raw, all-grass milk.  Also available are fresh cheddar, aged cheddar, Parmesan, smoked Gouda and cheese curds.

Fresh milk won’t be around long…

In the fall, we stop milking the cows to give them a winter’s rest before they calve in the spring.  This will happen some time in the next month.  But don’t worry– we have enough frozen milk to last ALL of us all winter long!  During the summer when milk is most plentiful and nutritious, we flash-freeze surplus milk for the winter months.  When thawed, frozen milk is nearly indistinguishable from fresh milk.  It’s a great way to get all the health benefits of raw, all-grass milk all year round!  Stay posted for more tips for thawing and using frozen milk.
